This is the challenge for Google within the year 2012: promising an increasingly fierce competition with Apple within the smartphone market and mobile communications.
This statement is expressed by leadership of Google, Eric Schmidt, in an interview with the Italian press, Corriere Sera, as quoted by computer magazine, Tuesday, December 20, 2011.
To realize that promise, Schmidt said Google in six months will soon launch a high-quality Android tablets, this can be the ways to Google if they need fight the domination from the iPad in tablet market.
"Steve was able to create revolutionary and extraordinary products like the iPad," said Schmidt pointed to the figure of deceased Steve Jobs, Apple's ex Chief Executive Officer.
Schmidt continued, within the next six months, Google will enter the market with high-quality tablets. "You can see an increasingly high competition between Google and Apple, this is capitalism,"
In the interview, Schmidt did not explain further, whether the tablet computers will be produced by a Google or tablets under the brand names Nexus, the name of a smart mobile phone that uses Android system.
Currently Google Android is used on many tablets, ranging from Samsung Galaxy Tab, Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, to Xoom and output Xyboard Droid Motorola Mobility, a company that Google acquired some time ago.
Still in the same interview, Schmidt also revealed that Google is preparing a similar voice recognition software on the iPhone 4S Siri. "We have to develop technology similar to Siri," he said.
